The Arizona Diamondbacks’ offense put together another scoring barrage with eight runs in the second inning of Sunday’s 14-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The D-backs rallied for seven hits and brought 11 batters to the plate against Dodgers 24-year-old starter Justin Wrobleski to break the game open, and Los Angeles pulled several of its starters soon after.

D-backs designated hitter Randal Grichuk started the rally with a double and punctuated the outburst with a three-run home run to the overhang in center field.

Eugenio Suarez ended the scoreless tie with an RBI single, and Jose Herrera, Geraldo Perdomo and Josh Bell each drove in runs before Grichuk stepped back up. The bottom five hitters in the D-backs’ lineup accounted for five hits.

Arizona has scored at least seven runs in an inning five times this year, and eight marks its second highest output after the 14-run inning against Colorado on Opening Day.

Wrobleski threw 41 pitches in the inning.

The Dodgers removed stars Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernandez from the game in only the third inning with the score out of hand. Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt struck out the side in top of the third, sitting down Shohei Ohtani, Betts and Freeman in order before the changes.

Arizona’s scoring did not stop, as Suarez homered off Wrobleski to lead off the third inning to take a 9-0 lead.

The Diamondbacks finished the game with 17 hits, as seven player recorded at least one RBI.
