Suns’ Bradley Beal available vs. Pacers; Jones, O’Neale, Ighodaro out

Jan 4, 2025, 4:15 PM | Updated: 4:18 pm

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal will play after an initial listing of questionable for Saturday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers due to a left hip contusion.

Tyus Jones and Oso Ighodaro were later added to the injury report as questionable with illnesses and eventually ruled out.

Beal fell hard midway through the first quarter on Tuesday and grabbed at his left hip. While he played the rest of the period while limping, he left the game after the quarter’s conclusion and did not return.

It was yet another blow to a Suns team that has suffered a plethora of injuries this season.

In just one of the past 23 games Beal, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant have all played together for the Suns and/or not picked up an injury during the game.

Wing Royce O’Neale (left ankle sprain) was also ruled out for the Suns after also missing Tuesday’s loss against the Grizzlies, the first game he missed this season.

O’Neale suffered the ankle injury in a loss in Golden State on Dec. 28. He will be re-evaluated next week.

Suns center Jusuf Nurkic remains suspended for one more game after a scuffle with Dallas Mavericks forward Naji Marshall.

Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman remain out for the Pacers with Achilles’ tendon tears while Aaron Nesmith is still sidelined with a sprained ankle.

The Suns-Pacers game will tip off at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday at 5 p.m. MST on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
