Jimmy Butler is steering right into the chaos of his latest trade rumors through the the color of his hair, and the Phoenix Suns are now part of his messaging.
The Miami Heat star has dyed his braids several times this season, matching the colors of the four teams he is reportedly open to playing for if traded by Miami.
ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Butler’s interest in the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and most recently the Suns. Arizona Sports‘ John Gambadoro reported on Thursday Butler is “absolutely” interested in playing for Phoenix.
Butler has played games in the past month with blonde, red and blue braids. He continued to steer right into the conspiracy, as on Thursday, he posted photos on his Instagram stories of his fresh orange braids.

Butler is on the final season of his Miami deal with a player option for next year, and there in plenty of uncertainty regarding his future with the franchise he steered toward two NBA Finals appearances.
A trade to Phoenix would not be simple given the NBA’s tax aprons and Bradley Beal’s no-trade clause, but it is not impossible, either.
The trade deadline is on Feb. 6, so there is plenty of time for trade speculation and hair dye subliminal messaging to keep the conversations going.
