Phoenix Suns considered slim favorites over Mavericks in Game 6 tilt

The Phoenix Suns got their Western Conference semifinals matchup with the Dallas Mavericks back on track with a dominating Game 5 win on Tuesday night.

But despite the 110-80 beatdown to take a 3-2 series lead, the Suns are considered slight favorites when the semifinal heads back to Dallas for Game 6.

Both FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings sportsbooks have the Suns as two-point favorites for Thursday night’s contest.

Fanduel Sportsbook also has the over/under at 211 points, well over the 190-point total seen on Tuesday.

FanDuel has Phoenix at -126 for the money line, while DraftKings sits at -130.

It’s not entirely shocking, however, given the Suns’ track record on the road this series.

After cruising to a 2-0 series lead with a pair of home victories, Phoenix was stymied in Dallas, putting up just 94 points in a Game 3 loss.

Then came Game 4.

Despite a 35-point effort from Suns guard Devin Booker, the Suns were on the losing end of a double-digit Game 4 loss. Booker added seven assists and four rebounds in the defeat.

A big factor in the losses was the downplay of point guard Chris Paul.

Paul combined for just 17 points and 11 assists to go along with nine turnovers and 10 personal fouls.

And while he didn’t necessarily find his shooting stroke on Tuesday night, going 3-of-8, the point guard dished out a game-high 10 assists in the Game 5 win.
