After fan, player and media votes were tallied, the NBA All-Star starters were announced Thursday.

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker fell well short, finishing No. 8 among Western Conference guards.

Booker was hampered by the fan vote, finishing 10th among guards in the conference. Votes from media and fellow players boosted his ranking slightly, as he finished No. 6 for both.

This put him above Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, who finished No. 8 in fan voting and No. 9 overall, and Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul, who finished No. 9 in fan voting and No. 10 overall.

Lakers forward LeBron James, who received the most fan votes, will be the captain of the Western team while Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the captain of the Eastern.

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose both finished No. 2 in backcourt fan votes for their respective conferences, but the player and media votes lowered them out of the starting lineup. Both finished No. 3 overall at their position.

The All-Star reserves, seven players per conference who are selected by NBA head coaches, will be announced Jan. 31 on TNT.

James and Antetokounmpo will draft their teams Feb. 7 on TNT.

The starters from each conference are:

Western Conference

Backcourt: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors; James Harden, Houston Rockets

Frontcourt: LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers; Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors; Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder

Eastern Conference

Backcourt: Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics; Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets

Frontcourt: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks; Kawhi Leonard, Toronto Raptors; Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
