The Phoenix Suns announced on Monday that guard Devin Booker will not play in Game 5 on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Booker was injured late in the third quarter of the Game 2 loss at Footprint Center.
He had 31 points in the first half of Game 2 and has not seen the court since the injury.
Forward Cam Johnson has stepped up in Booker’s place in the starting lineup as the team earned a split in the two road games in New Orleans, pushing the series to 2-2.
Johnson has scored 21 points in 59 minutes on 7-of-19 shooting with six blocks and three assists in the two games starting for Booker.
The Suns may look to change the starting lineup as they return home for Game 5 with a smaller lineup of guard Landry Shamet in Johnson’s place.
Shamet has scored 12 points in 49 minutes on 5-of-12 shooting with four assists and rebounds in two games without Booker.
