The Arizona State men’s basketball team and head coach Bobby Hurley added some size to the roster on Tuesday by way of the transfer portal.

Nevada forward transfer Warren Washington announced his commitment on Twitter, becoming the second Wolf Pack player to transfer to ASU this offseason.

Washington joins former Nevada teammate Desmond Cambridge, who transferred to Arizona State on March 31. Cambridge’s brother, Devan, also transferred to ASU.

Starting his collegiate career in the Pac-12 at Oregon State, Washington transferred to Nevada after the 2018-19 season, where he played two seasons for the Wolf Pack.

The 7-foot, 225-pound forward started 20 games for Nevada last season where he averaged 10.5 points per game on 60% shooting to go with 6.6 rebounds. He made his presence felt defensively too, averaging 1.2 blocks a game.

In his collegiate career, Washington has scored over 500 points.

The forward entered the transfer portal on March 22 after Nevada’s season came to an end. He reportedly received interest from other schools such as Marquette, Illinois, Florida and Arkansas among others.

Washington arrived to ASU’s campus on Monday for his visit, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

He was reportedly going to visit Marquette, Notre Dame and Texas A&M after his trip to Tempe, but gave his commitment to the Sun Devils instead.

Washington has two years of eligibility remaining.
