Herm Edwards and his staff had little time to piece together their 2018 recruiting class.
It was only a matter of a few weeks between the hiring of Edwards to replace predecessor Todd Graham and the early signing period that gave Arizona State’s coaching staff time to recruit a group of prospects. By the spring, the Sun Devils had put together a recruiting class that 247 Sports ranked as the 37th-best in the nation, not bad considering the circumstances.
With Edwards’ first year at the helm now over, it looks even more impressive. Linebacker Merlin Robertson, safety Aashari Crosswell and receiver Brandon Aiyuk were among the members of the 2018 recruiting class that made an instant impact in their first year at ASU.
Now that Edwards and his coaches have a 7-6 season, a bowl appearance and a full year on the recruiting trail, the expectations grow for the 2019 class, which opens the day ranked 31st by 247 Sports based on the verbal commitments already in hand for ASU. Commits can begin officially signing Wednesday.
Below you’ll find a running tracker of all the letters of intent that come into the Arizona State football offices for the first full term recruiting cycle under Edwards.
