Arizona State offensive lineman LaDarius Henderson was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award preseason watch list ahead of the 2022 season.
The award honors the best offensive player in the country who leads on and off the field with criteria that the player must be born in Texas, attended a Texas high school or a Texas junior college or university.
Henderson, from Waxahachie, Texas, is entering his fourth season at ASU and will be a staple on the interior offensive line at left guard.
He started all 13 games last season and earned a Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week award in October en route to an All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
The ASU veteran is a Second Team offensive lineman on the Pac-12 preseason All-Conference teams.
Henderson was a three-star prospect out of Waxahachie High School south of Dallas.
Offensive lineman Kellen Diesch — from Dallas — represented ASU on the preseason watch list last year.
Nominees for the award honoring Texas running back legend Earl Campbell were submitted by the sports information directors of each Division I school.
A list of five finalists will be made in December.
The victor will be voted on by a group of Texas-based journalists, college football dignitaries and previous award winners.
Western Kentucky quarterback Bailey Zappe took home the prize last season.
