ESPN projects ASU OL Kellen Diesch, Dohnovan West future NFL starters

ESPN analysts Todd McShay and Steve Muench released an NFL Draft prospect tiers list last week, and two Arizona State Sun Devils made Tier 6 which included players 67-106.
Offensive tackle Kellen Diesch and center Dohnovan West landed in spots No. 98 and No. 102 on the list.
Diesch is one of 11 offensive tackles and West one of four centers among the 106 players listed by ESPN.
Tier 6 consists of players McShay and Muench project as future starters in the NFL who have third-round value. These prospects they consider are in need time to develop, have limited upside potential or red flags.
Diesch is a 6-foot-7, 301-pound tackle who played two seasons for ASU after transferring from Texas A&M. He ran a 4.89-second 40-yard dash and 4.43-second 20-yard shuttle at the NFL Scouting Combine in March.
“Diesch is another player to keep an eye on,” Muench wrote. “Offensive linemen feel the same way about arm length as quarterbacks feel about hand spans: If they don’t check that box, they don’t want to hear about it. Diesch has short arms, and defenders are able to get into his frame on tape, but he is fundamentally sound and plays with balance. He has a chance to overcome that lack of length.”
West played three seasons at ASU after committing in 2018. He is 6-foot-3, 296 pounds and ran a 5.23 40-yard dash at the combine.
Both linemen made the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2021.
