Arizona State football landed Kentucky tight end Khamari Anderson in the transfer portal on Sunday.

Anderson was the No. 12 tight end and No. 266 overall player in the portal, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound sophomore will have two years of eligibility remaining.

He picked Arizona State after also visiting Auburn and Colorado, per SunDevilSource.com’s Chris Karpman.

Anderson was a former four-star recruit in high school but saw limited playing time and recorded five catches for a combined 29 yards across 11 games (one start) in 2024. He also contributed four tackles on special teams.

In 2023, he played in 11 games but had just one reception for 11 yards. He also recorded two tackles while playing on special teams.

Johnson is the fifth player to transfer into Arizona State since the transfer portal opened on Dec. 9. The winter portal closes on Dec. 28.

Who is Khamari Anderson?

Anderson is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and attended Cass Technical High School.

He was the No. 441 overall prospect, No. 22 tight end in the country and the eighth-ranked player in Michigan in the 2023 class, per 247Sports.

Anderson committed in December 2022 and picked Kentucky after having offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Indiana, Michigan, Ole Miss, USC, Washington and Wisconsin.

While in high school, he played tight end, wide receiver and defensive end and was selected as an Under Armour All-American.
