QB Manny Wilkins, WR N’Keal Harry move up ASU record book

Sep 23, 2018, 12:17 AM | Updated: 12:24 am

ASU quarterback Manny Wilkins and wide receiver N’Keal Harry moved up the ASU record book in the loss to No. 10 Washington on Saturday.

Wilkins, who entered the game with 6,557 career passing yards, moved ahead of Jeff van Raaphorst into seventh all-time.

Van Raaphorst, who played from 1984 to 1986, had 6,610 career yards.

Wilkins is also in place to take sixth and fifth place in the game at home against Oregon State next week.

Danny White, who played from 1971 to 1973, is in sixth place with 6,717 yards. Ryan Kealy, who played from 1997 to 2000, is in fifth with 6,912.

Now at 6,661 career yards, Wilkins is only 56 away from White and 251 from breaking into the top five of all time in ASU history.

He could potentially reach Taylor Kelly (8,819 yards) and Jake Plummer (8,827) to break into the top 3, but Wilkins would have to average 270.88 yards in his remaining eight games to do so.

For reference, he averaged 251.54 yards per game last season.

Meanwhile, Harry moved ahead of Eric Guliford (1989 through 1992) into fifth-place all time in Sun Devils receptions.

Finishing the game with 166 receptions, Harry is only two away from Chris McGaha (2006 through 2009) into fourth place in ASU history.

The next target would be John Jefferson, who played from 1974 through 1997, at 183.

Harry finished last season with 82 receptions. If he matches that number this year, he would finish the season tied with D.J. Foster (2012 through 2015) with 222 catches.

Derek Hagan, who played from 2002 through 2005, leads ASU with 258 in his career.
