The Big 12 released Arizona State football’s 2025 conference schedule on Tuesday, which begins Sept. 20 at Baylor.
ASU’s byes are spaced out, with the first coming two weeks into Big 12 play (Oct. 4) and the second on Nov. 8, with three regular-season games left.
The upcoming ASU football season will be highly anticipated after the program’s first College Football Playoff berth in 2024, and the defending Big 12 champions will begin their conference slate at Baylor on Sept. 20.
ASU’s home schedule is highlighted by Arizona’s visit to Tempe in the Territorial Cup on either Friday, Nov. 28, or Saturday, Nov. 29.
ASU is 6-2 in the last eight games versus the Wildcats. The Sun Devils are coming off a 49-7 win over Arizona in Tucson last season.
A rematch of the Big 12 Championship game at Iowa State’s Jack Trice Stadium on Nov. 1 will be notable for both schools. Iowa State will seek a bounceback after being blown out 45-19 in the first-ever matchup between the programs.
Potential cold weather environments for Arizona State this season could provide some challenges as the Sun Devils travel to Utah (Oct. 11), Iowa State (Nov. 1) and Colorado (Nov. 22).
The last time ASU won on the road in Salt Lake City was in the 2017 season, 30-10. Arizona State is 1-4 in the last five meetings with Utah but notably won last year 27-19 at home.
Against Colorado, the Sun Devils had split the last six matchups with a 3-3 record. ASU is 1-1 in the last two trips to Boulder with the most recent win coming in 2022, 42-34.
Arizona State will miss out on matchups versus BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State this year.
