Fourteen Arizona State Sun Devil alumni remain in the league, with eight on active rosters in Week 7.
Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzalez sealed an Arizona victory with a game-winning field goal in overtime on Sunday Night Football, while San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk set a career-high in his team’s win against the New England Patriots.
A look at all that and more for Sun Devil alumni in Week 7:
Zane Gonzalez
Gonzalez had quite the game on Sunday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Gonzalez hit a 44-yard field goal to tie the game in regulation. In overtime, he missed what could have been the game-winning field goal with about two minutes left. Luckily, the Cardinals got the ball back thanks to an interception, giving Gonzalez a chance to redeem himself. He hit the game-winning 48-yard field goal and handed the Seahawks their first loss of the season.
Brandon Aiyuk
Aiyuk set a career-high against the New England Patriots, recording six receptions for 115 yards. Sunday’s game was Aiyuk’s first-ever contest over 100 yards. He played in 50 snaps, the most of any receiver on the team.
N’Keal Harry
Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry battled fellow Sun Devil Aiyuk and the 49ers on Sunday. Harry had only one reception for six yards and was later removed from the game with a head injury. He did not participate in practice on Wednesday and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Lawrence Guy
Patriots defensive tackle Lawrence Guy had four tackles and his first sack of the season against the 49ers. Guy has now played in 92 consecutive games, the most among active defensive lineman in the league.
D.J. Foster
Cardinals running back D.J. Foster was activated from the practice squad injured reserve and could potentially see some playing time on Sunday with Cardinals starting running back Kenyan Drake on the shelf due to injury.
Eno Benjamin
Arizona running back Eno Benjamin could also potentially see playing time on Sunday due to Drake’s injury.
Matt Haack
The Miami Dolphins had a bye week. They will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Jamil Douglas
Tennessee Titans lineman Jamil Douglas saw six snaps on special teams last week. The Titans are no longer undefeated after their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Damarious Randall
Seahawks safety Damarious Randall played in 15 defensive snaps and one special team play. The Seahawks fell to the Cardinals in overtime.
