Heavy traffic expected in Tempe for ASU football, homecoming festivities

With Sun Devil football set to host an afternoon game on Saturday as well as homecoming festivities going on the ASU campus, heavy traffic is expected in Tempe this weekend.
The Sun Devils game against the BYU Cougars kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at Mountain America Stadium.
Most of the traffic will be in Tempe, where drivers should be aware of extensive restrictions related to ASU homecoming.
Multiple roads in the ASU campus area will be closed between Friday night and Saturday evening, including stretches of University Drive, 10th Street and Myrtle Avenue.

ASU-BYU pregame/homecoming schedule for Saturday
For the ASU game, guest and pay parking lots will open at 8:30 a.m.
The homecoming festivities on Saturday begin with a parade down University Drive going from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
An ASU block party that preludes the football game is also set to begin at 9:30 a.m. The block party takes place in front of the Fulton building and Old Main on University Drive.
A pregame tail skate at Mullett Arena will open at 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
At around 11:10 a.m., a Sun Devil walk will take place on Ellie Ziegler Way.
Gates at Mountain America Stadium will open for premium club members at 11:30 a.m. while those for the general public will open at 12 p.m.
