The Arizona Cardinals placed running back Jonathan Ward on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

The RB has not played since Oct. 28 after suffering a concussion in the 24-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.

Ward marks the first Cardinal to be placed on the list since wide receiver A.J. Green and tight end Demetrius Harris were on Nov. 3.

The 24-year-old running back out of Central Michigan is vaccinated, according to Darren Urban, which allows him to return once he tests negative on consecutive days.

Arizona will travel north to Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday with starting running back James Conner and third-string RB Eno Benjamin.

The former Arizona State Sun Devil will continue to serve as the Cardinals’ backup tailback while Chase Edmonds remains on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.

However, Edmonds will be eligible to return to the team for its Week 14 matchup at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football on Dec. 13.
