The Arizona Cardinals will be wearing their alternate black jerseys when they host the San Francisco 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium Sunday.
According to NFL regulations the uniform, which debuted in 2010, is allowed to be worn twice during the season. However, in the past the NFL would not allow alternate uniforms to be worn once the league’s “flex” schedule began, though that is happening earlier this season than ever before.
After winning both games played in the jerseys last season (vs. Carolina and vs. Houston), the Cardinals’ record in the look improved to 4-4.
