Josh Dobbs revenge game loading? Could Cardinals face their former QB in season finale?

The Arizona Cardinals aren’t going to have to worry about Valley native and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his 20 touchdowns this week.
They could, however, have another familiar face leading the 49ers offense in Josh Dobbs this week. You know, the quarterback that kicked off the new regime’s tenure in Arizona.
A decision hasn’t been made just yet by 49ers head coach Kyler Shanahan, who has to choose between Brandon Allen or Dobbs this week.
But either way, oh boy.
The Cardinals’ passtronaut experiment
In eight games with Arizona to start the 2023 season, Dobbs completed 62.8% of his passes for 1,569 yards and eight touchdowns to five interceptions.
It was an abbreviated season before his release, but Dobbs still got plenty of practice reps against the defense he’ll potentially play this week.
Does previously having Josh Dobbs in the building help Arizona Cardinals DC Nick Rallis gameplan for the QB if he plays in the season finale this week?

“You’re always taking everything that’s relevant to help gameplan,” defensive coordinator Nick Rallis said Tuesday. “Being around a guy, you definitely know him on a personal level, but just having a feel for the type of player he is and what he’s able to do and what you have to take away, I think it helps.
“Not to say you have to be in the building with someone to know that. You should be able to get some of that off the tape, but you take in everything that you can to help win the game.”
As far as what Dobbs might have gleaned off his stay in Arizona?
“I’m sure he does (know our scheme), but I think the 49ers in general probably do. They have great coaches. That’s not going to necessarily change anything.”
