Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to visit with the Arizona Cardinals this week, reports 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday that Murray was on his way to Arizona. Garafolo added that Murray was bringing his agent, who also represents Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Garafolo’s colleague, Ian Rapoport, reported that the visit with the Cardinals would begin the next day, on Wednesday.

Murray is expected to be a top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, which starts April 25.

The Cardinals, who have the No. 1 pick, have reportedly already brought in other potential top picks Nick Bosa and Quinnen Williams for visits last week.

If Arizona selects Murray with the top pick, it’ll be the second consecutive season the team has picked a quarterback in the first round of the draft.

Last year, the Cardinals moved up to the No. 10 pick to select UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen.

Speculation the Cardinals could draft Murray with the top pick has swirled since Kingsbury was hired as head coach in January.

The hype around Murray has only increased since, especially after he measured favorably at the NFL Combine.

Despite all the speculation, Rosen is expected to report and participate in the Cardinals’ offseason workout program, which begins Monday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cardinals haven’t engaged in active trade discussions regarding Rosen and haven’t shown a willingness to trade him.
