“There’s no one as talented as (Murray),” Fitzgerald said. “A diverse array of abilities, his athleticism, his ability to throw the ball going left or right, he is immensely talented. He’s a guy that everyone around the league has to prepare different for.”
“You bring in Hollywood (Marquise Brown), Zach Ertz is coming in for his second year better acclimated with the system, James Conner fully healthy going back into the year, I really like where they are in position.”
Fitzgerald has still not made an official retirement announcement since last playing for the Cardinals in 2020.
Fans around the Valley also know that even while wearing No. 11 for Arizona that Fitzgerald was an avid golfer.
He explained to Acosta-Ruiz that he could not narrow his dream foursome down but named his dad, President Barack Obama, Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, former Cardinal Andre Roberts and Jerome Bettis as some of his favorites.
“I definitely want to put a couple of guys I really like and a couple of guys that will help me pay my mortgage,” Fitzgerald said.
