It’s been a little more than a week since Michael Floyd was arrested on DUI charges after police said he fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle in the early morning hours of Dec. 12.

The Cardinals have since released the receiver — who was claimed off a day later by the New England Patriots — and we now know just how drunk the former Cardinal was.

According to the official investigation report, Floyd had a blood alcohol content of .21, which is significantly more than the legal limit of 0.08, making this an extreme DUI.

Arizona state law says anyone who is arrested on DUI charges and posts a BAC of 0.15 or higher will, on first offense, be jailed for no less than 30 days with no eligibility for probation or suspended sentence as well as be fined no less than $2,500. For second and subsequent offenses, there would be a jail sentence of no less than 120 days and a fine of at least $3,250.

Video of Floyd’s arrest was released Tuesday, and last Sunday Cardinals president Michael Bidwill explained part of the reason for the team parting with the receiver was due to him showing no remorse over the incident.
