The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly expected to add veteran defensive tackle Domata Peko to their roster.
The news, which was first reported by NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport, comes after Corey Peters suffered a season-ending knee injury during the team’s 32-30 win over Buffalo on Sunday.
Peko, who last played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, has 599 tackles and 20 sacks in his 15-year NFL career.
The former Michigan State Spartan appeared in seven games with the Ravens, starting three, making 14 tackles in those contests.
Peko spent the first 11 years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, who drafted him in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Peko registered a career-high five sacks with the Bengals in 2015 and appeared in 123 consecutive games at one point in his career before spraining his MCL with the Denver Broncos in 2017.
He recorded 69 tackles and 1.5 sacks in two seasons with the Broncos, from 2017-19.
The Cardinals head to the Emerald City to play the Seattle Seahawks at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday Night Football.
