State Farm Stadium roof expected to be open for Cardinals-Patriots
Dec 14, 2024, 2:02 PM
The roof of State Farm Stadium is expected to be open Sunday when the Cardinals host the Patriots in Week 15 of the NFL season, the team announced.
Fans attending the game, which has a 2:25 p.m. kickoff, were encouraged to dress accordingly.
Sunday has little-to-no clouds in the forecast with a projected high of 71 degrees, per National Weather Service. Much of the Valley has been experiencing freeze warnings as of late, but temperatures are expected to jump up into the upper 70s.
Football fans don’t have to worry about rain, or hail for that matter, as those watching the Cardinals take on the Bears witnessed on Nov. 3.
Sunday will be the fourth time this season Arizona plays with the sun shining down on field. The Cardinals won all three previous instances, most recently a dominant 31-6 win over the New York Jets on Nov. 10.
Arizona has outscored opponents 77-30 in roof-open games.
Listen to play-by-play of Cardinals-Patriots at 2:25 p.m. Sunday on 98.7, Arizona Sports.com and the Arizona Sports app. Pregame coverage begins at 9:30 a.m.
