The Arizona Coyotes traded 20-year-old center Maxim Letunov and a 2017 sixth-round draft pick to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 2017 third-round and a 2016 fourth-round draft pick.

Arizona added a 120th overall selection in the upcoming draft and own the 2017 third-round pick that was previously the Detroit Red Wings’ pick.

Letunov was the team’s fifth-rated center prospect, according to HockeysFuture.com, and part of a group led by 2015 first-round pick Dylan Strome.

He was sent to the Coyotes in the March 2015 trade that shipped Zbynek Michalek and a third-round pick to the St. Louis Blues.

Letunov played for the UConn Huskies last season and finished the 36-game slate with 40 points and 16 goals, setting the school’s rookie scoring record for points, assists and goals.

The Coyotes’ trade rebuilds their draft pick stash after they lost their fifth-round pick (128th overall) in last week’s trade to acquire Alex Goligoski’s negotiating rights.

Arizona now has eight picks in the 2016 Entry Draft.

2nd Round: 37th

2nd round: 53rd overall

3rd Round: 68th overall
