Larry Fitzgerald’s season has officially come to a close on the football field. With a Pro Bowl invite on the table, the Arizona Cardinals’ leading receiver has opted to sit out the Jan. 29 game with an undisclosed injury, according to Seahawks.com.

The report surfaced as it was learned that Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin would take Fitzgerald’s spot on the Pro Bowl’s NFC roster.

That leaves the Cardinals with only one Pro Bowl representative in cornerback Patrick Peterson. Fitzgerald, Peterson and running back David Johnson were all initial selections to the game in Orlando. David Johnson’s planned participation ended when he sprained an MCL in the season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fitzgerald recorded an NFL-leading 107 receptions during the regular season that added up to 1,023 yards and six touchdowns.

The 33-year-old has maintained that there is a possibility for him to call it a career but later added that it would likely take until at least February for him to come to a decision about playing in 2017.
