The Phoenix Suns are not likely to have anyone named to the Western Conference All-Star team, but that does not mean they will be without a presence that weekend in New Orleans.
On Wednesday, it was announced that guard Devin Booker and forward Marquese Chriss have been selected to play for the U.S. Team in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, which will take place on Feb. 17.
The game will see a matchup between 10 first- and second-year players from the U.S. and 10 first- and second-year players from around the world.
Booker, who is averaging 20.6 points per game this season, will join Amare Stoudemire as the only players in Suns history to play in the game twice.
Chriss, who is scoring 7.2 points per game, joins Booker, Stoudemire, Wesley Person, Trevor Ruffin, Michael Finley, Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Markieff Morris and Miles Plumlee as Suns who appeared in the game.
