NAU to take on Cal Poly in ESPNU BracketBusters

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz– Northern Arizona University will faceoff against Cal Poly of the Big West Conference as part of the 2011 ESPNU BracketBusters on Saturday, February 19. The game, which will be played in San Luis Obispo, California, is scheduled to tipoff at 8 p.m. Arizona time.
It be NAU’s fifth appearance in the BracketBusters field and their first since 2007-08. The Lumberjacks have an all-time 2-2 record defeating Wichita State (2008) and San Jose State (2007) and falling to Western Kentucky (2006) and Western Kentucky (2005). This will the be the seventh straight year that the Big Sky Conference will participate in the event.
For the first time since the start of BracketBusters Pool all nine Big Sky teams will participate.
As of Tuesday, Cal Ply is 9-11 overall and 4-4 in conference play. NAU is currently 11-8 and 3-4 in conference play. The two teams last met during the 2007-08 season in Flagstaff, a game won by the Lumberjacks. NAU owns a 7-4 all-time mark against the Mustangs.
