Devin Booker, Marquese Chriss participate in Rising Stars Challenge

Feb 17, 2017, 9:03 PM

Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker is pulling double duty for the second straight year.

After playing in the Rising Stars Challenge last year and participating in the Three-Point Shootout the following night in his rookie year, Booker played in the game again this weekend as a sophomore and will be in an All-Star Saturday Night event the next night, the Skills Challenge.

Booker scored 14 points and dished out six assists in the Rising Stars Challenge Friday night for Team USA.

His first bucket of the night came from his former teammate at Kentucky and Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns.

Booker was aggressive most of the game, tying for the most shots on Team USA.

His teammate Marquese Chriss was less involved.

Chriss finished with five points. Playing small forward most of the night due to the amount of big men on the Team USA roster, Chriss spent a good amount of his minutes on the perimeter.

As Chriss always does, however, he found a way to get his highlight dunk and wow the crowd.

Booker will be competing in the Skills Challenge Saturday night, being one of the three perimeter players selected along with John Wall, Gordon Hayward and former Sun Isaiah Thomas.

Derrick Jones Jr. is in the Slam Dunk Contest for the Suns, the signature event of the night. He will be going against Aaron Gordon, Glenn Robinson III and DeAndre Jordan.
