Cardinals to bring another QB into the fold
It’s that time in training camp where injuries start to catch up to a team, and the Arizona Cardinals are no exception.
The latest position of need is quarterback, where both John Skelton and Max Hall are nursing injuries. And, since the Cardinals don’t want to force Kevin Kolb and Richard Bartel to wear out their arms throwing every single pass, another player will be brought in.
Cardinals expected to sign former KC QB Brodie Croyle later today. J. Skelton (ankle) and M. Hall (shoulder) are hurt.
Croyle was a 3rd round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2006 out of Alabama, but has not found much success in the NFL.
The 28-year-old has started 10 games in his career, but has completed just 56.7 percent of his passes in tallying 1,669 yards and eight touchdowns.
While the Cardinals are giving Croyle a chance to show his stuff, chances are he will not be kept around once Skelton and/or Hall get healthy.
