If the NBA were to track the shortest total height between two players involved in a jump ball in history, they may need to look at Sunday’s Suns game.
During the game against the Boston Celtics, Suns guard Tyler Ulis ended up in a jump ball against Celtics star Isaiah Thomas. Ulis is listed at 5-foot-10, and Thomas at 5-foot-9.
Despite the slight disadvantage, Thomas ended up securing the ball for his team at center court. Both the crowd at Talking Stick Resort Arena and social media loved it.

The jump ball between the two small guards added even more intrigue to an already interesting game. Thomas, who averages 30 points per game and is in the MVP discussion, returned to the Suns, who traded him to Boston in 2015.
While Thomas won the jump ball, Ulis won the first half. He put up a career-high 15 points, all in the second quarter, while Thomas shot 4-of-13 and committed four fouls.
