The NFL Veteran Combine led to at least one player getting another shot, and this one happens to be with the Arizona Cardinals.

Slaughter joined the NFL last year as a rookie free agent with the Houston Texans, but was released in May. He then spent training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was waived/injured on August 6. Prior to that, he caught 50 passes for 516 yards and three touchdowns for West Texas A&M in 2013. He also scored three touchdowns on 36 kickoff returns, while averaging 36.1 yards per return.

In four years at West Texas A&M, the 5-foot-9, 184-pound receiver caught 174 passes for 1,978 yards and 14 touchdowns.
