Arizona Cardinals sign WR Nathan Slaughter

The NFL Veteran Combine led to at least one player getting another shot, and this one happens to be with the Arizona Cardinals.

Slaughter joined the NFL last year as a rookie free agent with the Houston Texans, but was released in May. He then spent training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was waived/injured on August 6. Prior to that, he caught 50 passes for 516 yards and three touchdowns for West Texas A&M in 2013. He also scored three touchdowns on 36 kickoff returns, while averaging 36.1 yards per return.
In four years at West Texas A&M, the 5-foot-9, 184-pound receiver caught 174 passes for 1,978 yards and 14 touchdowns.
