Arizona Cardinals’ Bruce Arians ranked among NFL’s top ten coaches

Since coming to the Valley prior to the 2014 season, Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has become something we haven’t seen in these parts very often — a media darling.
Arians is a great sound bite, the antithesis of past Cardinals coaches Vince Tobin and Ken Whisenhunt. But he can coach a little bit, too.
The 62-year-old is the reigning NFL Coach of the Year after leading the battered Cardinals to the playoffs for the first time since 2009. It’s his second such award in the last three seasons.
Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has ranked all 32 NFL head coaches, and not surprisingly, has Arians at #8 on the list.
In two seasons with the Cardinals, Arians is 21-11 and has been to the postseason once, that coming last season. But he also led the Colts to a 9-3 record when he took over for Chuck Pagano in 2012 when Pagano was battling leukemia. Arians has been voted Coach of the Year twice in his three seasons — winning when he was interim coach in 2012.
New England’s Bill Belichick tops the list, followed by Seattle’s Pete Carroll and Green Bay’s Mike McCarthy.
