Detroit Lions unveil new uniforms, and they’re pretty nice

The Detroit Lions will have a new look in 2017.

And you know what? It’s not too bad.

The new threads have a similar look to their old ones — with one of the uniform sets even being a nod to the jerseys the Lions wore in their inaugural season, 1934. There is also the return of blue pants, which is a nice throwback touch.

Otherwise the team is still going with its signature Honolulu Blue, along with the silverish-gray the team has donned for years.

There is a change on the shoulders, with one stripe that says “Lions” one one side, which is questionable given that we know who is playing and therefore don’t need a reminder, and another with the initials “WCF,” which stands for owner William Clay Ford.
