♫ “We’re Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Toledo Mud Hens, we hope you will enjoy the show.”
Friday, June 16, the Toledo Mud Hens of the International League will host the Durham Bulls at Fifth Third Field. Trust us, the home team will actually be the Mud Hens, because you wouldn’t be able to tell based on their uniforms.
That game, the team is celebrating Beatles Night, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the band’s legendary Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, which was released June 1, 1967 and won a Grammy for Album of the Year in 1968.
So, the Mud Hens will wear these to get into the spirit of the night:
The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with benefits going to the Northwest Ohio Chapter Alzheimer’s Association. There will also be a postgame concert by tribute band Hard Days Night.
Beatles Night falls about three weeks after the team’s Star Wars Night, during which the Mud Hens will be decked out in these.
Our 'Star Wars Night' jerseys we'll wear on 5/27 will be auctioned off during the game: https://t.co/KVqUdgkgpo pic.twitter.com/P4HuhSF7JD
