Iannetta was inadvertently struck in the mouth by a pitch from Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Johnny Barbato in the seventh inning on May 12.
“I got lucky on all accounts. Teeth are kind of messed up. Other than that, OK,” Iannetta told the media May 14.
Iannetta has appeared in 20 games this year, batting .220 with three home runs and six RBI.
Reliever Silvino Bracho was originally called up when Iannetta was placed on the disabled list. After being called up, Bracho made one appearance, allowing two earned runs in one inning pitched on Monday against the New York Mets.
