Hat, sweater, khakis.

Just by those three words, it is very possible you know who we’re talking about.

This basic outfit has become the official attire of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh, something he dons on the sidelines at just about every game he coaches and, now, at Big Ten media day.

The eccentric coach further set himself apart from his colleagues by ditching the suit and tie for his gameday gear.

We should have seen this coming. Harbaugh wears and does what he wants.

He wore cleats, khakis and a tucked-in Cubs jersey while throwing out a first pitch.

He wore a glove in the stands while at Wrigley Field.

In a shirts vs. skins game, he took his shirt off, of course, but he was wearing none other than his classic Harbaugh khakis.

And then we get to Tuesday’s media day. He’s going to wear his coaching attire to a coaching conference, because this is Jim Harbaugh. This is a man of pragmatism.

Plus, he wasn’t done setting himself apart. In an interview, he started yelping and yelling like a quarterback:

Harbaugh is rarely seen without his khakis, popularizing the pants more than Jake from State Farm ever could have.

He isn’t afraid to go outside the box to get an edge, whether it be hosting satellite camps or sleeping over at a recruit’s house.

But to give Harbaugh credit, his wild personality helped the Wolverines go 10-3 last season and land the third-best recruiting class in the country this year, according to Sports Illustrated.

Never change, Jim.
