Tight end Jeff King may have been under Todd Heap's shadow last week, but after Sunday's game, he's likely to get picked up by more than a few fantasy teams. He only caught two passes, but his 61 yards and a touchdown were impressive. Knock him all you like, but Cardinals running back Beanie Wells had a solid game on Sunday. He had 18 carries and four receptions for 102 total yards and one touchdown. It seems as if he's turned into a decent number one back. Welcome to the NFL, Patrick Peterson.
The rookie cornerback ran back his first punt return for a touchdown on Sunday. As it turned out, that touchdown sealed the game for the Cardinals as they went on to win 28-21. Cam Newton had one the best rookie debuts in NFL history against the Cardinals. He threw for 422 yards, two touchdowns and a lone interception. Oh ya, he also ran for one as well. The Cardinals may have gotten to him in the end, but Newton came out stronger than anyone could have guessed. Run, Kolb, run seemed to be a theme on Sunday. The Cardinals, through chance or plan, saw Kevin Kolb looking to complete a lot of passes on roll-outs. He did a good job.
