The Washington Mystics and Indiana Fever are the latest two teams to have a dance battle during a rain delay.
The Capitol One Arena in Washington faced a delay from water leaking out of their roof, their second delay of the season, according to Bullets Forever. The severe thunderstorm passing through also forced a delay at Nationals Park for the Washington Nationals and the D.C. United had to postpone their game at RFK Stadium.
Instead of the players hanging out in the locker room or shooting around to pass the time, music was played through the speakers and the two teams had a dance-off at half-court.
This started with some Mystics players dancing near the bench and it eventually evolved into a full dance battle between the two teams and even some dancing together. Both teams went back to the locker room afterward before play resumed later on.
