Arizona Wildcats to take two truckloads of donations for Hurricane Harvey relief
The Arizona Wildcats challenged their community to fill up their football team’s equipment truck full of supplies for Hurricane Harvey relief.
And they responded; filling not one, but two trucks up with almost 70,000 pounds of goods for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
With a “Bear Down for Houston” campaign, Arizona’s football equipment trucks had donation drop-off dates from Sept. 3-8 at specific times, but with the outpouring of support the community has shown, Arizona had to cancel their final day of donations due to no more room left in either trucks.
After their home game against the Houston Cougars on Saturday, they will drive the truck to Houston filled with supplies to help the relief effort.
If you weren’t able to donate and still would like to contribute, you can visit Red Cross to make a donation.
