Phil Mickelson asks young fan for advice during PGA practice round

Sometimes when you are in between clubs on the golf course, it helps to ask an outside source.
ASU alumnus Phil Mickelson did exactly that.
Phil asked this youngster a question.
And got an honest answer. 😂@DellTechChamp pic.twitter.com/u4RamP2CLW

While playing in a practice round for the Dell Technologies Championship, Mickelson was met with a choice. Does he go for the green, hitting a three wood out of the rough or does he hit an iron and play it safe?
When he asked a young fan what he should do, the kid didn’t miss a beat.
“If I could hit my three wood 260 (yards), I would probably go for it.”
Lefty agreed and proceeded to hit the three wood.
It must have been a good decision because Phil quickly responded to the fan after the shot with “you can caddy for me anytime.” Even Mickelson’s caddy (and brother), Tim Mickelson, motioned that he take the bag from him.
