Coyotes re-assign five, cut two from training camp roster

The Arizona Coyotes assigned five players to their junior teams and cut two more players from training camp on Monday.
Forwards MacKenzie Entwistle, Nate Schnarr and Tyler Steenbergen, along with defensemen Cam Dineen and Noel Hoefenmayer, have all been sent to their respective teams in the OHL and WHL. Arizona also released goalie Michael Houser and forward Scott Allen.
The roster now stands at 48 players as training camp resumes.
Arizona cancelled its scheduled Monday preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings due to poor ice conditions. The team will open the preseason Wednesday in Anaheim against the Ducks.
The Coyotes also open the regular season at Anaheim on Thursday, Oct. 5 before hosting the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, Oct. 7 for the home opener at Gila River Arena.
