Watch J.D. Martinez interview Archie Bradley after win over Padres

Archie Bradley wanted to hit in the eighth inning of Wednesday’s win over the San Diego Padres — but not many people probably expected him to come through with a two-RBI single.
But that is exactly what Bradley did. The Diamondbacks reliever came in to get the final out of the seventh inning, and his turn to bat came up with two runners on.
Bradley made the most of the opportunity, lacing a fastball to center field off Padres reliever Tim Melville. “The Beard” extended the D-backs’ lead to 9-6, and ended up at third after the ball got away from center fielder Manuel Margot.
After the game, J.D. Martinez decided to interview Bradley about what happened to Margot.
“Did you know it got by him,” Martinez asked.
Bradley said he did not know until he touched first base.
“That is when I ran into right field, to round second base,” Bradley said laughing.
The base knock was Bradley’s sixth career hit in 61 at-bats, and his first this season. In addition, Bradley became just the 11th reliever in Diamondbacks history to collect an RBI.
The reaction afterwards from his teammates in the dugout was priceless.
