Former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett reportedly signs with Suns

The Phoenix Suns have reportedly signed power forward Anthony Bennett to a non-guaranteed deal Friday, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania.
Former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett has signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Phoenix Suns, league sources tell The Vertical.

The 24-year-old from Canada came into the league in the 2013 NBA Draft when he was taken first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In his rookie season, Bennett played in 52 games and averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds.
Following his rookie campaign, Bennett was part of the trade that sent former Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love to Cleveland. He wasn’t in Minnesota long, joining the Toronto Raptors in 2015 and then heading to Brooklyn to play for the Nets. He finished out last season playing overseas in Turkey.
In his career, Bennett has played 151 games, averaging 4.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.2 blocks.
