D-backs announce first-pitch time for NL Wild Card game at Chase Field

Sep 26, 2017, 3:41 PM | Updated: 3:44 pm

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced the start time for their National League Wild Card game at Chase Field on Oct. 4 will be at 5:08 p.m.

The first 45,000 fans in attendance will receive a D-backs rally towel.

The game sold out tickets in less than two hours Monday after going on sale at 9 a.m. It will be the D-backs’ first playoff game since 2011.

A win would send the team to the NLDS against the top team in the league, which prior to Tuesday’s games, is the NL West rival Los Angeles Dodgers. They currently have a 4.5-game lead over the Washington Nationals for the top record in the league.

As for the team the D-backs will face next week, the Colorado Rockies hold a 1.5-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers for the second and final wild-card spot, with the St. Louis Cardinals still in the mix at 2.5 games back.
