The Arizona Cardinals fear linebacker Markus Golden suffered a torn ACL or MCL in his right knee Sunday in a win over the San Francisco 49ers, reports 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Mike Jurecki.

Golden will undergo an MRI to determine the significance of his injury on Monday.

The starting outside linebacker left the Cardinals’ 18-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers in overtime after colliding with teammate Budda Baker while bearing down on Niners quarterback Brian Hoyer. It appeared that Baker undercut Golden, who went to the ground grabbing his knee.

The third-year pro left to the locker room walking under his own power but with a limp.

Golden has recorded 11 tackles, a stuff and no sacks in four games this year.

Last season, he compiled 51 tackles with 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Arizona replaced Golden with Kareem Martin, the Cardinals’ 2014 third-round pick out of North Carolina who recorded 10 tackles with two forced fumbles in 2016.

Here is the play that led to Golden’s injury that ended his season after four games.
