Week 6 of the Fantasy Football season for the 98.7 FM Arizona Sports Host League saw the last undefeated team standing get its first loss while one team nearly racked up 150 points.
Find out who won and more in this week’s recap.
Vince Marotta (That Booty!): 91
Bertrand Berry (Daddy Phat $acks): 68
B-Train’s team really took a hit this week due to Aaron Rodgers going down with a broken collarbone. In addition to losing his QB, B-Train’s running backs only tallied 11 total points, and only two of his nine players scored in double digits. Needless to say, it wasn’t his week. On the other hand, Vince’s wide receivers had themselves a week as they accounted for 60 of his 91 total points.
Paul Calvisi (Paulie Pigskins): 128
John Gambadoro (Sister Markus Golden Hair): 115
Paul’s team was very consistent this week if you don’t count his running backs. His top scorer was Rob Gronkowski with 26 points, but his defense (Texans D/ST) closely followed with 23. Gambo’s team saw three of his nine players score in the 20s, with Carlos Hyde leading the way with 23 points. But the big story of this matchup was that Gambo left 94 points on his bench, including Adrian Peterson.
Dave Burns (Bold Strategy Cotton): 144
Dan Bickley (Blinded by the TD’s): 133
Dave Burns had the highest score so far this season in the Arizona Sports Host League with 144 points. All but two of his players scored in double digits, as Kirk Cousins led the way with 27 points, while his kicker (Ryan Succop) and running back (Leonard Fournette) closely followed with 21 points. Bickley’s top scorer this week was Larry Fitzgerald, as his wide receiver group racked up 44 of his 133 total points.
Listener Winner (Dancing with Stanton): 105
Doug Franz (I Hate Fantasy): 118
It took until Week 6 of the Arizona Sports Host League, but the Listener Winner has finally lost a game. Congrats Doug! Doug’s team was highlighted by Melvin Gordon with 35 points and Adam Thielen with 18, while both Tom Brady and Austin Seferian-Jenkins had 16. On the other hand, the Listener Winner’s wide receivers really struggled this week with a total of eight points (Chris Hogan, two points and Devin Funchess, six points)
Ron Wolfley (Team Wolfley): 87
Mike Jurecki (Team Jurecki): 97
It came down to Monday Night, but ultimately Mike Jurecki came away with the win. His running backs really showed up this week, racking up 45 of his 97 points. Wolf’s team was led by his quarterback (Trevor Siemian) and defense (Vikings D/ST) with 15 points.
