Paul Goldschmidt and Zack Greinke of the Arizona Diamondbacks have been nominated for Gold Glove Awards, MLB announced Thursday.
Greinke is one of three starting pitcher finalists in the NL. Atlanta Braves knuckleball specialist R.A. Dickey and Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Zach Davies are the other two Senior Circuit nominees.
The 34-year-old Greinke compiled a perfect fielding percentage in 2017, converting all 56 of his chances with 26 putouts and 30 assists. The D-backs ace was worth 4 defensive runs saved.
Goldschmidt and Greinke were both nominated last season.
Joey Votto of the Cincinnati Reds and Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs were also nominated at first base.
Goldschmidt won a Gold Glove in 2013 and 2015. Rizzo took home the award for NL first basemen last season.
The 30-year-old Goldschmidt compiled a .997 fielding percentage this season. He only committed four errors in 1,361 chances and compiled the most total zone runs among major league first basemen with 15. In addition, he turned 116 double plays.
