Wild turn six kids representing six cancer fights into hockey heroes

Nov 15, 2017, 10:40 AM

Try not to well up with emotion after watching how the Minnesota Wild raised money for six specific cancer-fighting organizations on Tuesday night.

The Wild invited six children in for a hockey and superhero-themed photo shoot. The team printed the images into posters given to the children, and they captured the kids’ photo shoot and reception of the final products on an emotion-stirring video.

Every NHL team has one Hockey Fights Cancer Night scheduled through the first few months of the season, and donations to the campaign can be made here.

Below is a look at six images of the Wild’s six cancer-fighting representatives from Tuesday night.

Represented in the Wild’s Hockey Fights Cancer night were the Minnesota St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Movember campaign, Team Tucker, Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota and Pinky Swear Foundation.
