Trivia Tuesday: Territorial Cup first-round draft picks

Friday marks the annual Territorial Cup game between the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Arizona Wildcats. This year’s edition, to be played at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, will look a little different. OK, a lot different.

Neither team has a win. There will be no fans in attendance.

But nonetheless, the two schools will meet for the 94th time in hopes of capturing a trophy that predates Arizona even becoming a state in 1912 — the Territorial Cup, which is the oldest football rivalry trophy in America.

The teams have provided many memories over the course of the rivalry, which has also turned out some pretty good pro football players.

Since the Sun Devils and Wildcats joined the Pac-10 in 1978, the programs have combined to produce 24 first-round NFL draft picks. Seventeen for ASU, seven for UArizona.

You guessed it, that’s your Trivia Tuesday challenge for this week — name them. We’ve given you the year, position and team that drafted them. All you have to do is name the player.

You’ve got seven minutes…good luck!
