It was a solid first half for the Arizona Wildcats.

In the Territorial Cup matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils, the Wildcats found themselves up 24-14 just before halftime with momentum on their side.

Then Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate took a shot on the final play of the first half.

It was a big shot, but didn’t seem more than that.

Until Brandon Dawkins started the second half, throwing an interception that quickly changed the tide of the game.

It’s unsure if that specific hit forced Tate or not, but he was visibly shaken up as he was helped up from the field.

It was also rumored the move was more of a coaching decision instead of a physical issue.

At the 8:50 mark in the third quarter, Tate did finally return, but ASU seized the momentum with Arizona’s playmaker on the sideline. The Sun Devils rattled off two touchdowns in his absence, securing their first lead of the game.

The return was short-lived as Tate exited the game again in the third quarter. Dawkins took a quick sack upon his return to the game.

Heading to the fourth quarter, ASU had the advantage, up 35-24 over Arizona.
